Holiness and Wind

Oswald Chambers: “Holiness is the balance between my disposition and the law of God as expressed in Jesus Christ... I have to learn to score off the things that come against me, and in that way produce the balance of holiness; then it becomes a delight to meet opposition.”

Thoughts?

Swahili word for the day: upepo means 'wind'.

Jesus said, “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8)

First thought would be: "huh? I know he is using words but I don't understand what he is saying"

Holiness is the complete righteous set apartness that we are saved into, never to be increased or improved upon. Maturity is learning to walk in that holiness or rather learning to rest while Christ lives through you. We also call that holiness which is rather confusing. So we are 100% holy in our person but are in the process of learning to act out that holiness.

Given the diarrhea problems you've both had, I would suggest extreme caution when breaking upepo!
