Our apartment came with literally nothing but a kitchen sink (and not really even that, it's a piece of junk, our first week here I saw a few of them in the trash room). I just finished installing all of our cabinets, stove, etc. I also put in a shower door. Next up: light fixtures and shelves. All of that will have to come down and go with us whenever we leave.Michael & Joe Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09192738400948268523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1532806339426162478.post-45510079275844347852011-02-03T00:05:37.302-05:002011-02-03T00:05:37.302-05:00One other thing. Apparently in Italy you have to buy your own kitchen because you usually take that with you when you move...and yes I mean sink...cabinets...everything. I wasn't sure if that was just an Italy thing or a European thing.Davidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1532806339426162478.post-9214981163835803542011-02-02T08:09:14.194-05:002011-02-02T08:09:14.194-05:00That they do David. We don't have any really large furniture, we're in a very new building that actually has a decent sized elevator, and we live only one floor up. So I don't expect too many fireworks, but you never know!Michael & Joe Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09192738400948268523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1532806339426162478.post-33993690906297364542011-02-01T16:35:38.322-05:002011-02-01T16:35:38.322-05:00This makes me laugh. Especially because 1) we've seen the spacious elevators of Europe in Italy (sarcasm) 2) we've been given updates of our friends in Italy that just moved from Perugia to Bologna. Their stories about moving things through their 5th floor windows were priceless. Especially considering the movers were 4 guys in the their middle 50's. Make sure you take pictures of the process to post. Those Europeans know how to keep things entertaining.Davidnoreply@blogger.com
